Hello - newbie here! I am slowly but surely learning CS2, and am totally stumped on the latest: I want to match sky colors from one photo to another. I have read multiple tutorials and tried and tried and tried to get it right. Anybody care to help this poor girl? Thanks! Attached are the un-edited, original files.

Match Color uses the color map from one photo to change another -- and it works great -- sometimes. But when it doesn't, you have to look for other solutions.

See my tutorial on http://www.photoshop911.com/images/NOTE.gif Matching Color (http://www.photoshop911.com/tutorials/match_color.html)

If Tips solution doesn't work, you can always mask out the sky in the image you want and paste in the sky you want behind it. With some liberial selecting and feathering you should be able to get a pretty good mask judging from your samples. You could also do a gradient fill with a couple of blues and blend them in. Remember to add some noise to the final gradient so it matches the grain of the original image.

open a Hue Saturation Adj. layer and select blue from the drop down menu, mess with the Hue, Saturation, and lighten sliders until its to your liking. then apply a white to black gradient fill to the layer mask to limit the adj. layer to affect only the sky. OR fill the layer mask with black and paint the sky with white. your choice.
