How do I do this? Photo- coloring

What effect? I belive the photo was simply desaturated

I saw the tutorial where those photos were made. You can desaturate but the effect they used was the gradient map. layers > new adjustment layer > gradient map.

make sure you set the color to gray and click ok. Then choose the corresponding gradient. Once the layer is made, adjust the layer opacity to suit the effect you are looking for.

Oh that give a lot of help to those who didn't know more about photo editing like me...I know a bit in photoshop but not an expert I am in a state of learning...that's why post like this is really appreciated...
