R.B. from Los Angeles, CA, using Photoshop 9.0.2 with Windows XP, writes in with:

I'm really sorry - this must be a stupid question (and in older versions I knew how to do this).

I have six JPG's saved. I need to put them into a single Photoshop document (as different layers?) so that I can arrange them, into a single document that will print out like a collage.

I cannot seem to add an image to a document, let alone six. The help function is not helping. The online tutorials are not helping. It's 1am so I can't call anyone to help. I'm afraid that I need this to work right now.

If you can help, click "Post Reply" below! Thank you!

Not to worry, R.B. -- there are NO stupid questions here...

Make sure all the files are the same work mode (JPG, Gif, etc)

Open the "work" file...
Open all of the other 6 files...
tap the "V" key
click and hold on the image of the first file, and drag it into the window of the "Work" file. It will arrive there on its own layer.
Do the same for all five remaining files.

If they're all the same resolution, be sure to make the 'work' file at least as large (pixels by pixels) as the largest of the six you'll be bringing over.

Sorry we didn't get to this one sooner.
;)
