apply effect to multiple layers

I have 5 different text layers, that way I can move each around,etc.
What I would like to do is to appy say a drop shadow, bevel& emboss,etc.
Is there a way to link them all together to apply the effect to one and have it appear on all? Versus doing them one at a time.

Please tell us which version of Photoshop you are using because the answers may be slightly different from version to version.

apply effects.
right click on layer.
choose copy layer style.
right click on each layer and paste layer style on each.

Or:
- select the layers in the Layers palette
- convert them to smart object (Layer > Smart Object > Group into New Smart Object)
- apply a layer style

Or you can group them and then apply the layer style to the group.
