Hi All,
The American Animal Hospital Association is looking for feedback on a new proposed logo. Our old logo has been in use for 75 years and is outdated (not to mention, difficult to use on various media). As part of a re-branding campaign for association, a new logo is under consideration. The "old" logo is currently used by thousands of AAHA members, veterinarians, small animal hospitals, etc. To make the transition to a re-designed logo easier for everyone involved, the decision was made to keep the same colors (red and black) and the same overall "look", including a red box, similar shape, etc., but updated and simplified. Any thoughts/feedback on the proposed design is welcome. Please note that there are two versions of the logo; one for use by our accredited veterinary practices and the other is our main association logo for use by our association, non-accredited members, corporate sponsors/partners, media, etc.

I have attached the new and old versions of our logo as well. The old logos have the words American Animal Hospital Association included, the new proposed logos do not.
Thanks very much,
Robin Baker

It looks fine. However, how will the name of your association be used with the logo. Obviously, most of the public will not know what AAHA stands for.

Hi Nick,
Thanks for your response. We are hoping to drop the actual name of our association from within the logo itself and use it instead within the copy of our marketing/communication materials when appropriate. We are well known within the veterinarian community but you are right, of course, that the general public is not currently aware of our association. To address this we have hired a PR firm and will be launching a pretty widespread campaign that will hopefully make the general public aware of who we are and what AAHA does as well.

Thanks again,
Robin
