"javascript missing" message

help!
working in CS3 on a mac...
trying to play with HDR for the first time and when i hit "automate">merge to hdr

the message "javascript code missing" comes up

any suggestions?

Go to the "Apple" and select "Software Update"

After it finishes churning, look at the list and see if "Java"
is one of the updates.

If so, install it.

You might want to consider installing other updates at this time.

If that does not fix it, then you've got other issues.

I for one, did not know that Photoshop relies on Java. I could be wrong with the jack-leg programmers Adobe is using these days -- but perhaps it has to do with the "Automate" command.
