Step1. First we will start by creating new file, so go to file menu and choose new, for purposes of this tutorial I chose size 300 * 100 pixels, with transparent background @ 72dpi.

Step2. Rename the only layer you have in Background. And fill it with any color.

Step3. Now pick your Rounded rectangle tool and draw rectangle about 130 * 30 pixels with any color.

Step4. Now right click on the layer and go Rasterize layer, rename this layer in to Main

Step5. It’s time to add some color and layer styles to our shape. So go to Layers menu and choose Layer styles/ gradient overlay (or double click on layer). Apply these settings.

You should have something like this. Now we just need to add some text and a bit of shine and we are done.

Step6. Create new layer on top of the Main layer (ctrl+shift+n) and call it Shine. Now pick Rectangular marquee tool from the tool box, draw square like one in the picture and fill it with white. Go to select menu and choose deselect (ctrl+d)

Step7. Now hold ctrl and press on the Main layer. This way you will select our main shape of the button. Now go to Select menu and choose inverse (ctrl+shift+i) and press delete (layer Shine is still selected).

Step8. Set the layer opacity at 20%.

Step9. Pick Type tool from the tool box. Color #6c4b08 and type some text. I used font ItcEras size 14 italic, sharp. And we are done. Here is the outcome.
