My duotone is still printing in cmyk.

Hi

Excuse me if i sound a bit muddled but im supposed to have a 2 col business card to print today and when I check my colour output the image is still coming out cmyk.

(I am using photoshop and illustrator cs on a powermac G4 with tiger 10.4.)

I have created it in illustrator. But needed to add a photo so I opened it in photoshop and changed it into a duotone. Im really not sure if i have done that correctly. Its the first time I have made a duotone.

Is there anyone who knows who can coach me through it please??

[Tips]

You MUST select and designate "Custom Colors" (Spot Color) or else Photoshop thinks you want CMYK separations.

All that is handled through the Duotone dialog.

If you have ANY other data in the CMYK channels, it will print as 4c.

Try again. If it still doesn't turn out, I'll do a step by step.
