Default Eyedropper Tool

Super basic question. Somewhat hard answer to find for whatever reason:

My eyedropper tool will select colors, but put them as the background color. I've never had this issue before and I just want it to go back to it making the selected color the foreground color. Sorry for the really simple question, just can't really find an answer anywhere easily..
