Okay, this is a little strange. I have a cilent that wants his menu buttons to be on a tree. And then the text on the buttons he wants to look handwritten or carved. He wants it to be similar to the trees up here that have cabin signs on them that point to the "Jones" cabin or the "Smith" cabin.
I have tried doing some carved text and it seems to be a long and somewhat confusing process. I have no idea how to do something similar to a handwritten text. He wants the website viewers to think that we have actually nailed signs with our pages on them on to a tree. Any ideas here? I tried using several different fonts on the signs and he didn't like that idea. I also think different fonts on every sign will be a little confusing to the viewer. |

Hello gizmo,
Have you tried "handwritten" fonts (Bradley Hand ITC, Blackadder ITC, Brush Script MT, Chiller, etc.)? |

No, have not tried all of those fonts. I'll try those and see if he thinks those will work for him.
Thanks for the suggestions. |

Find a good script that is very simple and has uniform thicknesses.
Then use the "chisel" technique on the wood "plaques" ... I think that's what your client is looking for. Set your type, then use "Inner Bevel" layer style to "chisel" the type into the wood. If you need a pictorial tutorial, let us know. ![]() |
