Default critique please

Hi, having just googled "website critique forum" I came across this site and was hoping that someone would give me an honest review of my site (having failed to get a response elsewhere)

the url is http://www.tigerroar.co.uk and it's a football site, all the videos and photos on there are my own. There shouldn't be any dead links although alot of the linked to pages are mainly templated and need imaginative text added and will get some in time.

Thanks for looking and I look forward to your views.

Default Front Page Too long

ONe of my most frequent complaints about blogging is LONG, LONG, LONG, LONG entry pages. (aside from the fact that the arrival shows just the picture of the team and some caption... had to click to then enter the site. )

This is a "php" site set up like a blogging site.

the author wants to put ALL of the content on the front page. This is really a mistake.

The author should put the title and a brief "teaser" about the article into the front page with a "Continue" link into the story as a stand-alone.

This way the page doesn't have to scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll.

Rather the reader will get MORE article titles and leads in a single window.

Here there are several videos stringing down the page. Just loading those is tedious and slow.

That's my comment for now.

I didn't realise that the videos slowed the page from loading, I'm looking at a different way to show the videos so that might change in future. And I've cut the amount of news items in the blog part down, you should've seen it before!

Thanks!

I think I would collapse the videos and have an option to expand those if someone wants. This would help speed up the load and make the mainpage a bit cleaner.
