Hello:

Create a star shape with the shape tool and save it as a path. Activate the path and make it selection with a little feathering. Back in the layers palette, make a new layer and fill the selection with white. You can adjust the opacity and blending to your liking, and even add more blur if you like.
You can also create a new brush with the star shape, and then selectively apply it. See Photoshop Help for exact instructions. This is a pretty "down and dirty" solution, but it will give you an idea of how to do it. Last edited by tscreative : 12-29-2008 at 10:00 AM. |

There may be something for creating brushes, but looking at the sample you show this looks like an isolated selection and not a brush. You can create the shape and then duplicate it and alter it a little just to get some variety, but I think you want to keep the "bling" minimal or it just overwhelms the image.
