Default Can not print pic if already printed from another network printer

Something very strange,
Our home network had a Vista PC with an Epson 2880 connected. My wife's XP PC connects through our home network to the Epson. Both monitors color corrected. We both have CS4.
When I print from her computer, through mine to the Epson, the pictures consistently have a magenta hue. This with CS controlling print color, correct Epson paper profile and printer manage color off. All the correct settings but a consistent color cast.

Now something even more strange! I have then copied the picture to my computer and opened it in CS on my computer. The picture looks fine, no color cast. When I try to print CS says I do not have a printer installed and will not print the picture.

I can open any other picture and no problems printing even while CS says there is no printer when I switch back to the problem picture.

I can move her picture over to a new blank document and it will look the same, no color cast. As a new document I can now print the picture and the picture looks great, no color cast!

I am totally baffled why this happens. This has repeatedly occurred when ever we try to print from her computer.

Any help appreciated

Brad
