Default Printing Quality

Hi, for the past weeks, I have been trying to make a business logo. But when I tried to print it, it's all pixelated. Even if the resolution is changed to 300 dpi it still looks a tad bit pixelated but a bit better.
I am using photoshop cs3 & illustrator. Also, there were effects being used.
Is there any way to make the resolution higher when printing or to make the printing quality better?

Also, I've noticed many questions about the printing quality, but I don't think that really help me much... :<
