the file is a gif it is 0.014 by 1.764 inches it is a light blue right now. I want to change the light blue to a darker hex blue 104E8B when I do that with the color pick tool it wont let me change it with the fill tool. I have tried to copy color as HTML but it is not working.

thanks

Arrow Setting file to a specific HEX

Okay... here goes.

The answer here goes longer than should be posted to a forum.

We've posted the tutorial at:
http://www.photoshop911.com/hex/index.html

Good luck.

Try to change the gif from indexed colors to RGB, change the colors to what you need with hue sat and then save back gif with a new colortable. In an indexed file, you can only use the colors from the indexed file.
